How to Buy the Best Crystals // Part 2 of 3
CJ interviews Nicholas Pearson on his book “Stones of the Goddess: Crystals for the Divine Feminine” on the attributes of crystals and how to buy a crystal in a store.
Due to the unique formations of crystals they have many attributes.
- Oscillators – send and receive frequency
- Harmonizers – coherent state of being
- Amplifier – coherent message
- Prisms
- Translators – transduction (send electrical charge)
- Recorders – retains field and programs
Once you are in a store, it can be confounding to know which crystal to buy. Most stores have quick descriptors of stones and their properties. For example, Amethyst, which is used for protection, wisdom, and psychic development. While you can buy a stone for the properties, Nicholas encourages listeners to first use their intuitive pull.
Formats of Stones
Which stone are you attracted to? Are you simply drawn to the color? Instead of questioning, find out more about the stone you are pulled to. Some stones are larger and more expensive. Stones also come in many different formats:
- rough
- pointed
- tumbled
- points
- obelisk
- clusters
- geodes
- spheres
- eggs
- wands, or
- bowls
Budget and Stone Properties
Now, it’s up to your budget. Pick the one in your price range. While bigger may have more amplification, it may not always be better.
If you have a particular stone in mind, then know beforehand that every stone will feel different. The short descriptors of properties while directionally correct, do not take into account all factors. Formation process, ingredients, arrangement, light, hardness, chemical properties, and color all play a part in each stone. All of these factors may resonate with each person differently.
Goddesses and Stones
In the appendix of Nicholas’s book, he includes guides of which stones resonate with certain Goddesses. For example:
- Parvati Hindu Goddess (emerald)
- Isis- Egyptian Goddess (Amethyst)
- Elements such as Water, Air, Fire, Earth, etc (grounding-earth- Turquoise)
- Planets-Sun (red Coral), and
- Birth sign (e.g.- Aquarius is Amethyst).
The book comes with many stories about the stones, as well as the properties. If you are seeking a stone for a specific purpose, you can read up about it in Nicholas’s book (linked below).
