Kara Krause, MA, NTP My interest in holistic health began as a young adult. I suffered from chronic allergies that progressed to sinus infections. After reading some books on how certain foods can disrupt the body’s natural ability to heal I decided to eat only whole foods & eliminate sugar. To this day I have not suffered from allergies since. This experiment changed my life for ever! This change in diet proved to me that I had the power to be healthy & symptom free when I nurtured my body with quality foods.
Over the years, I have worked in a variety of programs involving nutrition, diabetes prevention and weight loss. What I enjoyed most about those programs was the importance placed on making sustainable healthy lifestyle changes and giving people the skills needed to achieve their goals. What was disappointing about these programs was that they were based on mainstream nutritional ideals & had a very low successes rate. Now that I have been trained as a Nutritional Therapist I understand why these programs did not work for everyone. The media bombards us with so much false dietary information most people are misinformed & confused.
It is my goal to educate my clients so they too can provide themselves with healthful nutrition. Our bodies are truly amazing; we have an innate ability to heal, strengthening from the inside out. I look forward to helping you take charge of your health!
